Happy Thanksgiving Twin Style!

It was the girls 1st thanksgiving and their homemade skirts turned our pretty cute! Everyone seemed to love them even though when sitting you could hardly seem them, but oh well!

First we went to Andrews grandmas house, where they were of course passed around like hot potatoes! They both fussed a little bit only because they were sleepy. Andrews back hurt for the majority of their dinner.

We headed to my Mamaws house and it was fullllll of babies/toddlers! Kay was running around chasing Ace, Cooper or Brayson! She was having a ball! The girls got a mini nap on the way over; enough to last them for another hour or two. They did pretty well but were clearly worn our after a quick photo session at home and immediately took a bottle then nap! We started getting the Christmas decorations out as our thanksgiving tradition! The girls woke up with just enough time to watch us finish!
I looooove my tree base!
Left is their big brother's ornament from Mamaw last year (convinced it was a boy!) & on the right is Bria and Ella's ornaments- with their hospital bracelet, their handmade seashell bra (used in the newborn photos)- made by my momma, their Nanny! And a topper to the centerpiece at their shower! I want to eventually stuff it full but still not sure what I want to add in there!
Then we had fun taking pictures of course!

These are all over the past several days!  we have been blessed to have a 4 day weekend! They seriously melt my heart with every smile! And cry!
Their first wrapped chrismtas presents from Mommy & Daddy!
The gift wrapping/baby feeding/ baby playing/ football watching chaos!

The Essentials

So I thought I would share the products we pretty much couldn't live without especially for the first 3 months anyways!

1) Snugabunny Swing
Seriously a game changer. & it's not necessarily this brand but it seems to be the softest. Andrew said if there was an adult version we would totally be all over that! Our girls don't even have much reflux but the incline helps them with what little they do and the rocking motion puts them right to sleep!!

2) Tommie Tippie Travel Warmer

I honestly have no clue what we did before this warmer. Well- yes I do. We used sink water in hopes it would get hot enough. And we didn't go places that didn't have accessibility to a sink in fear we would have to feed them. It's pretty much a $20 glorified thermos with attachable lid (which is totally the gimmick otherwise you have to carry around a seperate cup to pour the hot boiling water and sit your bottle in. It's 100% worth it and we use it daily. My mom and dad use it when babysitting as they don't have a bottle warmer. It's one of the few things we have had to buy and it's more than worth it!

3) Thirty One Diaper Bag-
I didn't register for this and I have no clue how we would have survived with the small diaper bag I did register for. It fits everything nicely and there's still a little room for my stuff (since carrying a purse is a far far away thought these days). Sure- it gets heavy but when there's double of everything- it's definitely going to be!

4) Long Sleeve White Onsies-
This is seriously a must have! Our girls were born in August. Ella was in preemies and Bria was in newborns. Which was fine. Once we FINALLY hit 0-3 months it was cold weather and we had all these cute tanks, shirt sleeve shirts, etc. You can basically turn a baby's wardrobe into whatever you want it to be if you have these. Seriously.

Perfect example! Cute cute tank!
& still looks completely adorable with it underneath! More long sleeve onsies are on our Christmas list- we use them regularly!

5) Fleece Blankets-

You can NEVER have too many. Of course, we use double of everything so! We have a set for them to sleep with, nap with during the day, a set that stays in their car seat and a set to play on during the day.  I would love a big kid version of these. They are super super soft.

6) Gripe Water-
Our girls are gassy. & this seems to help! It's oretty self explanatory. Ella gets backed up sometimes and it helps relieve her little upset tummy!

7) Piano Gym-

This should probably be #1- but since these aren't in any order... I cannot explain how much my girls LOVE this. They love the music, the kicking, and especially looking at their beautiful selves! It's used daily. Well I should really say it's used hourly!

Other things not pictures we love:
Having a Crap Ton of burp clothes- necessary

Similac orthodontic nipples

Baskets to organize bottle supplies. Ex) one basket for bottles, one for nipples/lids, one for spoons, cups, etc. organization is KEY!

JJ Cole Car seat Covers- we just got ours on the mail, but they are an absolute MUST- it's freezing here already!

I'm probably sure this list will change in the next 3 months- but these are must haves! (At least to our set of gorgeous twins it is!)

Daddy's Biggest Fans!

So- we got to watch our handsome husband/daddy on Saturday play in the 2nd Annual Alumni Game! He did great as always! Scored 7 points and for the 2nd year in a row- the even team won!

Since then, his back has been bothering him big time. I can't even remember the last time he has complained about it this much. So, we bought a new couch!!

Yea- merry Christmas to us! He has to unfortunately watch the girls 2- 12 hr shifts in a row. So by the time I leave etc- 13-13.5 hours. And we stay upstairs out of convenience and the couch upstairs sucks. We marched our butt out to big lots after the girls got weighed.

Ella's is a whooping 11lbs 15 ounces! & Bria is not too far behind at 11lbs 3.5 ounces!

We went to big lots. Found a super comfy couch and headed back to my mommas to borrow their truck and have them watch the girls. 2 hours later we all were home and enjoying our new couch.

It fits nicely in the space and matches it downstairs sectional if we would ever need to move it down there.
It also gives is waaay more room upstairs. It's super nice.

The girls decided to have an early night so Andrew iced his back and washed bottles. So all I had to do was pump & make bottles. That never usually happens I normally have to wash bottles, make bottles, pump and shower. Plus I needs to wait to pump as long as I could since I had just pumped not too long before.

I realized they had nothing to wear for thanksgiving. My grandma had given me some fall fabric swatches at one point but I totally forgot where I put them. So I got the only fabric I had and got to sewing & made this!

A baby skirt!

I haven't been able to try it on them yet so I'm not sure the length but it's going to look super duper cute with their sweaters!! I may add white to the bottle of something- I haven't decided! But I love it! One down- one to go!

I should have left it alone...

I seriously suck at computer crap. I tried to make my blog a little nicer and revamp it but noooooo.. It has to be difficult.

This is what my blog should look like. Desktop version. (Don't mind the milk I have to multitask!)

But no matter how hard I try I can't get it to look even close for the mobile version and no matter how many times I try to change it- it changes the desktop version back- so I give up. Imagine this desktop version above.  Pretty right?! :)

Maybe I'll have my husband look at it- if you are reading this: I need help!

Changed My Blog Name!

Woot Woot!

I  changed my blog name!

Moore Party of Four!

So funny when we used to go out to eat it was 2! This blog will hopefully be revamped. I no longer use it to display my photography (which it started out as an infertility blog but I couldn't come up with a catchy name!)

I'm kinda bummed I totally meant to join in on the 5 on Friday fun and totally forgot.. Maybe next time!

I'm super pumped about tonight though! It's our 2nd Annual GHS basketball Alumni game! My husband puts tu's on by himself practically. This year he has a little extra help- since all the proceeds go to a young boy who was diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma at age 3/4. He was in remission at one point but it has came back. His dad graduated from GHS so this town is really pulling together. Plus- my dad made these amazing pants for them!!!
So I'm beyond excited!

We had family pictures done the other day. There was 6 adults, one 14 month, 2- 3 month olds and one 2 month old. It was a mess. But here's a sneak peek! I can't post the rest because they are Christmas gifts and we have to go back because Bria was beyond a Diva- and screamed bloody murder. So we get to go back! But I adore my baby girls and love Ella's face.

t totally says Don't Mess With My Momma! I love them!

A Day In The Life of 14 Week Old Twins

So. This post was a long time coming to decipher  exactly how far we have come and how our world has been changed since I started back to work.

The girls may or may not wake up. Yes. Once they slept through the night and didn't get up until 6am. Lately with this dumb time change, it's been more like 2:30am, today it was 3:45. We change them, feed them 3 ounces, burp them and back to sleep they go.

Work Days- they usually get up once more since I leave at 7:00am to make it to my moms. Sometimes they don't. If they still seem sleepy, I try to leave earlier on an effort to make it to my moms before they wake up and realize they are freaking starving! I however, wake up at 6:00am. I immediately boil water for then travel warmer, make usually 8 bottles- 4 each. And then wash any bottles front the night before. I finish packing the diaper bag, my work bag and then finish getting ready- which usually includes make up, straightening of the flyaway pieces in my ponytail, and putting on my scrubs. We take the car seats into their room and put them in there. Andrew helps me out to their car and we are on our way to Nanny and Pappys! I drop them off and try to leave around 730 to get to work on time!

Who knows what they do at moms. Probably a whole lot of eating and playing and little sleep but they are being cared for very well. Andrew gets off work at 3:30-3:35, and calls me as he heads down to pick them up. He is with them until 8:40 when I get home (their fussiest time). By the time i get home, I get to play with them for 10-15 minutes and then by then they are super hungry. So we either bathe or feed and fresh pjs, warm milk and bed! After they are in bed, I make bottles, usually 8, wash bottles, pump and shower!

When I don't work,  I feed them whenever they wake up. I don't wake them I let them wake on their own. So usually around 7:00am, then 9:00-9:30am. During that time, I usually make bottles, wash bottles, pump, throw dinner in the crock pot, do dishes, and clean the kitchen. The girls usually go back to sleep for one more hour or so. & then they are up for smiles and playtime!they are so happy in the morning! They play for maybe an hour, sometimes they nap but usually I need to squeeze in one more feed before they do that. Nap time lasts anywhere from 1-2 hours. Another feeding around 1:30-2pm and more playtime until they get cranky and they nap again. At that time Andrew is home and they eat around 430-5, and we do lots of playtime. By 7 they are really for a nap again, honestly I wonder if we could out them to bed then and get them up to eat at 10ish.. But we don't. We let me nap until 845-9ish. Bath, bottle and then bed. Then they are up anywhere from 230-430.. And repeat!

My Bri!!

My Ellie!

These totally make me cry! Well, almost anyways. We must be doing something right as we have THE cutest babes around! Can't wait to support their handsome daddy at his alumni game this Saturday!!!!

This was at Nanny & Pappys earlier this week!
At least someone is getting use out of my twin breast friend pillow!

Rough.

So. It's been a rough couple days. I had to work Saturday. Any weekend day I am away from the girls and Andrew- sucks majorly. We did get some Christmas shopping done after work, but your whole day is shot then.

Sunday was fine. I normally get to clean and sweep, but I only got to clean. No sweeping. Which I hate when this house is a mess. We spend the majority of the time upstairs and I miss my huge awesome family room downstairs. I feel incredibly cramped upstairs and it honestly gives me anxiety- which I rarely get. Except at the car dealership when he wouldn't let me leave to go to target...

Later in the evening- Andrew went to olay basketball. The girls are quite a bit fussier in the evening and Sunday wasn't an exception. Next time- I think they should play early Sunday morning! :)

Bria was super fussy and Ella was just a little. Which all Ella needed was some reassurance I was there but I sadly couldn't give it to her because Bria was screaming bloody murder. So I went ahead and fed Bria which calmed her down for the 5 minutes it took her to drink her bottle. I was burping her on my chest and I reached under her to grab her  binky and BAM! Her head hit my hand. Not only my hand, but my super sharp engagement ring. & that's the last time I wear that! What stinks is- I had my wedding band and endgame by ring soldered together so I can't even wear the band only. Wahhhh.

Bria screamed bloody murder again after that and I cried harder than she did. It was right In between her eyes. If it had hit her eye I would have died.

That was last night.

So this morning- I put the girls back to sleep after their 9am bottle. They like to nap for one more hour or so. And I find that Bria's swing isn't working. Track, my devil cat, chewed through the cord. I cried. I cried while texting Andrew, I cried when I called my sister and cried when I hung up.

Then, the girls woke up.

I mean. How blessed am I? How can I be mad about a dumb cord (I still kinda am. But nevertheless) when I have these two beauties smiling back at me! Me?! Their momma! My heart overflows!

Say It Ain't So--- Happy 3 Months Baby Girls!

I cannot believe it's been 3 months! It just doesn't seem real. I am currently pumping while they sleep in their own room/swing :/. (Operation sleep in the crib isn't going so well)

However- those little cuties slept all night from 939p-6a Monday night into Tuesday! Ella whined at 3 am and I put her binky back in and swore we would be getting up within 10 minutes- but nope! So proud of them!

Ella Faith (or smelly Ellie as Daddy like to call you.. Don't worry Bria is smelly too- her name just doesn't rhyme)

You are getting so strong! You "get ready" when I hold your hands to sit up and then stand up! You do it like a pro! You smile constantly! Even in the middle of the night during a diaper change! You have the cutest smile and it lights up your whole face! You look so much like mommys baby pictures (sorry for the big head!) that it's actually scary, but people who didn't know mommy as a baby- say you look like Daddy! I think you are really starting to recognize us- and Nanny & Pappy too! You love to play in the floor, aren't a fan of tummy time but you hold your head up very well! Just the last few days I think you are getting closer to rolling over from belly to back, so I can't wait to see all the new things you do! You can hold on tight to mommys fingers or a toy, and you love your hands! Your cooing confuses us sometime and we aren't sure if it's a whine or you are having fun! You love to sit up, don't like to be rocked to sleep and I don't think you're hair has grown at all this month! Your eyes are still deep blue, and what hair you do have is still blonde! We can't wait to see the changes that come with this next month! "You are my sunshine!" Is one of your favorite songs too! (Even though Daddy thinks he sang to you first!) we love you to the moon and back & my heart aches when I'm at work- we always miss you!

Love, Mommy & Daddy!

Miss Sass Bri Baby!

You are so much fun! You are really getting the hang of lifting your head up and even standing up (sometimes you are a little lazy, but apparently mommy was a lazy baby too!) A few days ago you rolled over from your belly to your back/ you did it again the next day! We were so proud of you! You love getting your diaper changed and get the biggest grin when we set you down to do it! Sometimes you grin and other times you open your mouth so wide (like this months picture) - it's adorable! You love your hands- sometimes a little too much and you are starting to drool (like your cousin Ashlyn used too!) mommy and daddy thinks it's the start to some teeth! You are growing up too fast! You love to hold toys and bring them up to your mouth! You love to be held and cuddled and sometimes need a blanket to cover your whole body- face included- just to go to sleep! Your new hair is coming in a lighter shade of brown and I can't tell if your eyes are going to be blue or not! You also love "you are my sunshine!" Nanny used to sing it to us girls all the time, and I love singing it to you too! I miss you like crazy when we are gone and I countdown the hours until I can get home to you! We love you to the moon and back Bria Cole!

Love, Mommy and Daddy!
