Could anything ELSE go wrong?

So I blame myself. Although I'm a perfectionist so that doesn't help!

We booked this location with the help of a friend. I thought how cool for a swim party! So my friend from work is the sister in law to the manager at the Wingate hotel. We got the conference room and pool for $35 from 12-6!  I thought how awesome!!

We didn't go there and preview it. I trusted the conference room would be more than sufficient. Uh no. Tiny isn't the word to describe it. I cried. It's like as big as my bedroom. Okay. Maybe bigger but it was suppppper small.

I felt awful because my friend from work was with me and she felt bad and I didn't know what to do. I started begging the manager if the was anything else available. Nothing.

So I went into full on freak mode. I cried to Andrew, to my sister, to myself. I begged for something else and if course there was nothing.

So I started unpacking my car. I opened the door and my beautiful precut strawberries took a huge dump in he car- on the ground, down the seat and all over the floor. Great.

I started rearranging the tables and we used all he tables and chairs and were were about 20 (maybe 15) chairs short. Which was true. Once everyone arrived. Fml. The food table was too small for my punch or water dispenser.

I printed out 16x20s which is what I assumed my frames were. They were not. Photos too big.

The cake people arrived. The birthday banner with their names on it fell off and broke on the way over. Seriously?!?

It was embarrassing. Once people started to arrive I realized we didn't have near enough chairs! Like off by 15. I wanted to die. Ella wouldn't eat- she was cranky. Still fighting that ear infection.

She didn't want down, but didn't want to be held. I changed her diaper- that made it worse. Just brutally unhappy. My poor dad had to hold her during the opening gifts because she was so cantankerous.

Finally she was okay once we ate cake! Where Kayleigh started bawling because she didn't get any! Oih!

It was a cluster F, thank god the air conditioning was working full blast! I was mortified. I went to pay at the end and they wouldn't let me pay!! Oh no. Oh no. They only let the mean people not pay!

I was frustrated. It was a cluster.  Beyond. But the girls had a good time and it was decorated nice.

Here's the only pictures I got!

2 More Days.

2 more days and we are having my baby girls birthday party! Ahhhh..

Here's what I have done this far:
(Pretty much everything but picture form is so much better! )

Invites:
High chair accessories:

Favor bags (not for the kids- I forgot to take a pic of those!)
Chalkboards:

This is a picture of my laptop. I seriously love love love this!

I didn't take a pic of thecenterpieces or the confetti or the tattoos I may have them wear, or their finished outfits!!

I am sad, excited and anxious at the same time. This weekend is bittersweet in SO many ways. The girls first birthday party- already crazy. Then Monday, my sweet hubby goes back to work. I have loved being home with him all summer (well the days I'm off). So babysitting woes start AGAIN. Luckily. NO ONES schedule changed. Mine, Stacy's, Andrews or mom and dad's. So it's working out for now. Until basketball season. The "game" part of the season is 2 months. But practice starts end of October. Uhhhh. Nevertheless.

School is going okay. I am ahead of the "projected " schedule they have set. My grad date would be dec 21, and I'm on the 4th class, finished 3 tests!

Camping Mini

The I saw this adorable set and wanted to get the  girls pictures done, but I thought it would be kind of dumb since I was planning on taking their pictures this week for their first birthday! Not even 20 minutes after I made the decision no/ the photographer messaged me and said her giveaway winner never claimed her prize! It really was meant to be! Of course the girls wouldn't smile for anything. Shocking right? I don't know if it was because I normally take their pictures or what. Nothing. We did get the occasional smirk here and there, mainly due to the massive marshmallow they were eating. Nevertheless- they are adorable!!

Life Is Changing.

Usually, I don't like change. I love schedules. Which is why I think the girls awesome sauce schedule works for all of us. It doesn't bother me to stay in or work around their naps to maintain our glorious schedule. So when big things get thrown at me like oh say- having twins (besides one) is a big deal.

It's not that I don't like change. I don't cope well with change because I am a worrier. I worry about everything. Stuff that doesn't matter, but my Type A personality has no other option. Anywho.

2 years ago, my husband applied for the boys head coaching position. He was the only one in the county that applied. He had been the assistant coach for several years, paid and unpaid. One man outside of the county applied as well. He had much more experience than Andrew but had a pretty rough and tumble reputation. After being drug around for weeks, we finally found out he didn't get the job. We were both devastated. I felt like this was it for him! Fast forward a few months, mid basketball season. Andrew is having a tough time with the new "management". He's pretty profane and overall not a nice guy. Not Andrews style. He was depressed and we were even more mad that they chose this guy to take over. That same month we found out we were pregnant. 3 weeks later- it's twins! Due in September. 1 month before the season would start. We made a mutual agreement - he would resign. No way did I want to be left alone with newborn twins.

Hubby's last game!

On the brink of the girls 1st birthday- Andrew has been named the GHS Head Girls Baksetball Coach. Pretty fitting since he's a new daddy to two girls. So that's changing. Crazy schedules, having to frantically find babysitting on the evenings I work (2 a week). And a lot of solo nights for this momma! I'm sad he won't be spending every evening with us, but I know eventually this will be a fun thing for the girls to so with their daddy!

Now that this is permanent and for sure happening. I need a different job. Story of my life right?! I have always wanted a Monday through Friday job. I need to be home on the weekends and evenings and not have to stress about asking off for them. I think I have found a solution in the health information field. It's not concrete and I have to take classes again which I plan to start soon, but I can eventually work from home. How awesome would it be to work 5am-130 and have most of the day off with the girls  and Andrew in the summer! My kind of Job if you ask me! It's all in the beginning stages but I really think it's what I need to do!

Change is good.. right?!?

Anything for these cuties!
Will Blog more about the photo shoot we won!! :) this is one of my favs- even if they aren't smiling!

11 Months....

I can't handle how close we are to their first birthday. Someone make time stop.

Ellie Bellie,

You are so active! You are officially walking like a big girl! You started in month 10 and now you are a pro! You stand up on your own, can turn directions and walk 6-10 feet at a time! You are so Independant and get so excited when you walk a good distance by yourself! You get very frustrated when you fall down too many times or try to stand up and fall down. You are definitely the more aggressive one between the two and sometimes you pick on Bria a little bit.

You are in 12 Month clothes officially! No more 6-9! And still size 3 diapers! We tried size 4 but they are a teensy bit too big still! We have no idea what size shoes you are in but we will have to start figuring it out soon! You still have only 4 teeth but I think one or two isn't far behind!

We are down to 4 bottles a day and sometimes you seem like you are too busy for that! We have 3 meals and day and always have snacks! Your favorites are bread!!!!! Green beans, peas and carrots, string cheese, hotdogs, blueberries, dried fruit(mixed berries please), pancakes/waffles, bananas, Mac n cheese, tuna, mini ravioli, mashed potatoes, and of course the usual puffs, crunchies, and yogurt bites. You wake up anywhere from 530-6am,630am
Bottle, 730am breakfast, take a 1.5 hour nap around 830, bottle at 11am, lunch  at noon, nap around 1/130-3, bottle around 330/4, dinner around 5/530 and bedtime 7 (and bottle!) it works so well and you both love the schedule!

You are such a busy body! You still love walking behind you walker even though you don't need it. You love getting in your toy box, playing and romping on the couch, walking to momma and daddy, playing in your tent/tunnel, you love opening the puffs container with your teeth, and sticking your entire arm down in there, almost guaranteeing sissy can't get any from you! You love getting into all the cabinets, especially the pullout drawer underneath the stove! You love swimming and bathtime. We recently went to the Fetterman pool and you had so much fun!! You love Florida-Georgia line! As soon as their songs come on - you and sissy both stop and dance! It's the cutest thing!

You are officially wearing your TOT collar now and I still see a slight head tilt but I think it's doing it's job! Ella, we are so proud of you! I'm still amazed you were such a tiny baby and now you are aucha big sister, picking on Bria and all (we are trying to work on that!) We love you to the moon and back girlfriend!!

My Bri Bri,

My smiley Bria! You are hilarious! The littlest thing makes you laugh and your laugh in contagious! We do pretty much anything to get you to laugh! You have the sweetest smile!

You are perfecting your crawling and you pull yourself up on everything. You love to walk behind the walker and you think it's hilarious! You can't turn yourself around yet so daddy and I are pretty sure when you hit something and it stops you- we think you are saying "stuck".  You are getting good at it but I'm pretty sure if you could talk- slow and steady would be your motto. Your favorite saying right now is no no no. Ella likes to take whatever toy you have in your hands. So you have learned to scream really loud, say no no no, crawl away or turn around in circles to try to get away from her! You probably hate it, but you are super cute when you do it!

You are officially in all 12 month clothes. No more 6-9- we gave those away to Baby Lylah and Baby Avery to wear soon! You are in size 3 diapers. We have tried size 4 but they are just a teensy bit too big! :) You have 6 teeth now! Once again you get 2 teeth at the same time and it doesn't phase you at all!

We are down to 4 bottles a day and sometimes you seem like you are too busy for that! We have 3 meals and day and always have snacks! Your favorites are green beans!!!!! Breads, peas and carrots, string cheese, hotdogs, blueberries, pancakes/waffles, bananas, Mac n cheese, tuna, mini ravioli, mashed potatoes, and of course the usual puffs, crunchies, and yogurt bites.

Mommy and daddy think you will be the musical one! As soon as Florida Georgia Line comes on you immediately run to the gate by the TV and you dance the whole time- it doesn't matter which FGL song, but it has to be FGL! It's the cutest thing! You are also obsessed with the Disney junior songs on YouTube! It's 6 minutes and 53 seconds of all your a rote shows theme songs! We play it before naptimes and bedtimes! It's your favorite! You usually take mommas phone and are entranced by it!

You love to play, but you love to cuddle just as much! I know it's extremely cheesy but I love when you crawl up to me and cuddle on my chest while you watch TV. It won't be long when you are walking like Sis so I want to get all the cuddles I can! You are a very sensitive girl! The smallest tap from your sister or even a look like Ella is going to come near you can warrent a cry or a tear! Your cries are the saddest! Your big puppy dog eyes are going to get you a lot! They make me melt now!

Bria, you have a smile that lights up our day, your laugh is one of the best sounds we hear and you will never know the joy you and Ella have brought to me! Mommy and daddy love you to the moon and back sweet thing!

1st Birthday Party Planning!!

I need to get my butt into gear. It's full on plan their first birthday party mode!!!

We are obviously doing Minnie Mouse. The girls super heart Mickey Mouse Clubhouse so. Duh. What's cuter, easier and most accessible. I have minimal time here. I need something that's not going to be a huge pain in my A to find coordinating things. Minnie Mouse it is!

I have the outfits. They need embroidered , that's on my list.

I have been collecting their formula cans and old baby food jars for decor. Must but spray paint for test run. Must.

Pinterest has some cute ideas of which I will be using.

Food wise.
Little ceasers pizza
Walmart sub
Buffalo chicken dip
Pasta salad
Chips
Fruit

Cake
Cookies

I feel like I need more but. I can't think.

This is a whole lot of rambling post and is really just to get my behind in gear and start planning!!!!! Ahhhhhh!!!

I Have 10 Month Olds... & They Are Awesome!

Seriously 10 Months! I'm amazed and exhausted all al the same time! (Not for lack of sleep though!!)

My Ella Girl,

You are a ball of energy, in a very dramatic fashion of course! You are such a fast crawler and are into everything! If you don't get your way or see your bottle in the warmer- you throw a fit. You either jump forward and throw your head on the ground or you throw your head backwards. You have several bruises from that new trick!

You weigh 19.13 pounds and are 28 inches long! You've grown 11 inches since birth! Almost a foot! You are solid muscle- not one single roll on you. & I swear you have ABS. You are the strongest little girl I know! Today you toppeled over the walker 3 times and didn't cry out of pain, only cried for some help up! You can walk with assistance of just one hand and if we let go you can stand for 10-20 seconds, sometimes more! You are so close walking I can feel it! You have started to squat to sit and it makes me feel like you will start to stand on your own soon! Such a big girl!

Your hair is still translucent blonde and your eyes are still a gorgeous deep blue. I've given up hope for big brown eyes from either of you! You still look like momma but prettier of course! You are wearing some 6-9, but mainly 12 month clothes and still in size 3 diapers! Momma got a good deal on huggies cases the other day so she sure hopes you stay in size 3 for a while! You aren't a fan of shoes but I think you've inherited big feet from dadda and momma! Looks like you're in a size 3 already!

You aren't really a fan of toys- you're on the go constantly! However you are a Fan of food! Baby food is almost a thing of the past! You are a big girl eating big girl food. You love bread- imagine that! We tried peas and carrots today and that was a hit as well! You're such a neat eater. One piece of food at a time, unlike your sister. We are still working on fruits. You do like yogurt however! Green beans are hit and miss.

You make the craziest faces and everywhere you go you are entertaining everyone! You have the best personality in public and you charm everyone you meet. You're slightly more dramatic at home but we are attributing that to getting your FOURTH tooth! You are going to look so adorable with your top teeth! I can't wait!

My Favortite parts of the day are when you wake up from your naps or sleeping! You are such a joy then! You absolutely LOVE bath time!! You have went under a few times which were scary for momma, you are such a dare devil! You are sleeping through the night! You do wake and cry to your binky so we go put it back in a few times a night, but that's not bad. Sometimes you wake up around 3am and it takes a little while to go back to sleep but not always! Bedtime is 7pm- last night it was 620!

Ella girl, you are dramatic, hilarious, silly, smiley, beautiful, cheerful, crazy, fearless and just plain adorable. You never cease to amaze me and I love watching you grow! We love you to the moon and back!!

My Bri Bri,

You have the sweetest personality, you live to cuddle and you love to be wanted! You can be dramatic at times but haven't thrown fits like sissy... Yet!

You are officially a CRAWLER!!!! We are so proud!! It happened at Aunt Neenas house and you have been on the move ever since! I think you are overall happier now that you can move around and you and sis are hysterical together now! You go pretty slow, but that's okay!

You live walking behind a walker! I think it makes you feel like a Big girl! You get better at it everyday! You also walk pretty slow behind it but today kicked it up a notch when sis tried to steal it from you! One of the funniest things we have seen! You also are pulling yourself up on lost things! You're little legs are getting stronger everyday!

You weighed 18.15.5 pounds! So close to 19 lbs! And are 27 inches long! Sis has finally surpassed you on both accounts! You have a shorter torso than her, you also have the most adorable rolls on your legs! I can't get enough of those cute knees!

Your hair is getting lighter and your eyes are still blue but with a hint of green! You may have your daddy's eyes! I think you look more and more like Alyssa and everyone else is saying momma too!! (Yay)!! You are in some 6-9 month clothing but mostly 12 month & size 3 diapers! You are not a fan of shoes or socks for that matter and we can't keep either on them on, but I think your feet are a tad smaller at size 2!

You still love to play with toys, your new favorite obsession is blocks! You dump the entire box out and that keeps you interested for minutes!! (Hehe)  You love going out and are always on your best behavior! Most of the time sissy is crying in her car seat in the car and you are asleep! We don't know how you do it! You have become a belly sleeper. I went in to check on you about a week ago and you were on your belly! It freaked me out but then I realized this is exactly how you laid in my belly! Your butt was up on the right side of my ribs! I need to get pictures but you and Ella sleep exactly the same now!

My favorite parts of the day with you are waking up- you're so smiley and happy! You love bath time and right after bathtime you are giggly! Listening to you and daddy play is one of my favorite parts of the day! I love how excited you get when you do something new or pull yourself up on something all by yourself. I love how excited you get when we bring out the high chairs or food or snacks! You are duh a good little eater! You have tried mashed potatoes, bananas, peaches, pears, green beans, pancakes, yogurt, peas, carrots and chicken (once). You love everything! I love watching you shovel food in our mouth! I also love watching you drink out of your sippy! You're a pro!

Bria Girl,
You are happy, giggly, smiley, cuddly, slightly dramatic, beautiful, apprehensive, careful, and always funny! We constantly laugh and smile with you! I hope you want to cuddle for a long time! I love watching you grow as accomplish new things! I can't wait to see what our future holds little ones! We love you to the moon and back!!
